Hoopeston Police Department Report 7/12/18

Wanted on Warrant      H18-3795   V18-6099

Time:                    2:25pm

Location:              1022 W. Penn

Arrested:              Eric Maples (36) of Hoopeston

Details:                 While on patrol officers observed the above subject who was known to have a Vermilion County warrant. Mr. Maples was taken to HPD where he was processed and later transported to the PSB

Time:                    3:35pm

Location:              800 block E. Seminary

Details:                 HFD responded to the above for a residence on fire.

 

 

Criminal Damage to Property          H18-3801

Time:                    7:25pm

Location:              520 N. Third St

Complainant:        33 year old Hoopeston male

Details:                 Complainant contacted HPD when he noticed the window of his vehicle was broken out. Investigation continues.

 

Vehicle Accident                     H18-3798

Time:                    4:44pm

Location:              Market/Orange

Unit #1:                2004 Chevrolet Van driven by Nathaniel Laird (41) (M) of Watseka

Unit #2:                Stop Sign owned by IL Department of Transportation

Details:                 HPD responded to the above area in reference to a stop sign that had

                             been damage as a result of a hit and run accident.  After an investigation,

                             it was determined that Mr. Laird had hit the sign and left the area.  He was

                             later located and was advised that the following traffic tickets would be

                             sent to him:

                             Improper Lane Usage

                             Leaving the Scene with Property Damage

                             Operating an Uninsured Vehicle
