Possession of Cannabis, Purchase/Acceptance of Alcohol by Minors (city ordinance)

Arrested:     15 year old juvenile female

                   17 year old juvenile male

Details:       HPD officers stopped the vehicle that the juveniles were in for a traffic

                   infraction.  An investigation found cannabis and alcohol in the vehicle. 

                   Both juveniles were taken to HPD to be processed.  They were given city

                   citations and released to guardians. 

 

 

Theft of Lawn Statue                       H18-4181

Location:       400 block W Elm Street

Complainant:  86 year old Hoopeston Woman

Details:          Complainant reports to HPD that person(s) unknown and without permission

                        removed a Lawn Jockey Statue from her yard.  

 

Fire Call

Time:          5:42pm

Location:    700 E McNeil Av

Details:       HFD was called to the above location for the report of a structure fire.  Fire was

                   extinguished and no injuries were reported.

 

Disobeying Police (city ordinance)             H18-4196

Time:          9:45pm

Location:    800 blk E Young

Arrested:     Torres, Gerardo (37) Hoopeston male

Details:       HPD officers were called to the above location for a report of a domestic

                   situation.  After an investigation, Mr. Torres was arrested and taken to HPD

                   for processing.  He was later released with a city ordinance citation and city

                   court date.
