Arrested:              Shawn Hurt (24) of Hoopeston

Details:                 While on patrol officer checked out with Hurt who was known to have a warrant. A computer check confirmed the Vermilion County warrant and he was taken to HPD where he was processed, and later transported to the PSB.

Details:       A Wallet belonging to Angelo Cipra has been turned into Hoopeston Police Department at City Hall.    Angelo may claim the wallet there.

Complainant:        (33) year old St. Joseph male

Details:                 Complainant contacted HPD when he discovered his Iphone was taken.

                             Investigation continues.

 

 

 

Child Sex Offender Loitering in Public Park      H18-4871   V18-7896

Time:          2:29pm

Location:    McFerren Park

Arrested:     Robert Irvin (28) of Hoopeston

Details:       Officers were called to the above in reference to Mr. Irvin being at the park. A computer check revealed his sex offender status. Irvin was taken to HPD where he was processed and later transported to the PSB.

 

 

 

Burglary              H18-4873   V18-7895

Time:          3:20pm

Location:    900 block of E. Young Ave

Arrested:     Scott T. Gillispie (42) of Hoopeston

Details:       Officers responded to the above in reference to a burglary report. After an investigation it was discovered that Mr. Gillispie was in procession of the stolen items. He was charged with the above, taken to HPD where he was processed and later transported to the PSB.

at the police department and can be identified and claimed by the owner.

Unit #2:       2005 Sion XB driven by Helen Carswell

Details:       Unit #1 pulled forward from the parking area and struck the right corner of unit #2

                   No citations issued. No injuries reported. Both units insured.
