Arrested:     Terry L. Williams (29) of Hoopeston

Details:       Subject presented himself at HPD to turn himself in on Vermilion County warrant 18TR2699. Subject posted bond at HPD and was released with a new court date.

 

Wanted on Warrant               H18-4831   V18-7837

Time:                    5:48pm

Location:              Mcferren Park

Arrested:              Shawn Hurt (24) of Hoopeston

Details:                 While on patrol officer checked out with Hurt who was known to have a warrant. A computer check confirmed the Vermilion County warrant and he was taken to HPD where he was processed, and later transported to the PSB.

Criminal Damage To Vehicle                    H18-4849

Location:              300 blk E Main

Complainant:        53 year old Hoopeston man

Details:                 Complainant reported damage to his vehicle while parked at above

                             location.

Location:              500 blk N 4th street

Complainant:        45 year old Hoopeston female

 

Details:                 Complainant reported medication missing from her residence

 

 

Wallet Found

Time:          1:30pm

Details:       A Wallet belonging to Angelo Cipra has been turned into Hoopeston Police Department at City Hall.    Angelo may claim the wallet there.  

 

 

 

Theft (Over)         H18-4870

Time:                    1:45pm

Location:              McFerren Park

Complainant:        (33) year old St. Joseph male

Details:                 Complainant contacted HPD when he discovered his Iphone was taken.

                             Investigation continues.

 

 

 

Child Sex Offender Loitering in Public Park      H18-4871   V18-7896

Time:          2:29pm

Location:    McFerren Park

Arrested:     Robert Irvin (28) of Hoopeston

Details:       Officers were called to the above in reference to Mr. Irvin being at the park. A computer check revealed his sex offender status. Irvin was taken to HPD where he was processed and later transported to the PSB.

 

 

 

Burglary              H18-4873   V18-7895

Time:          3:20pm

Location:    900 block of E. Young Ave

Arrested:     Scott T. Gillispie (42) of Hoopeston

Details:       Officers responded to the above in reference to a burglary report. After an investigation it was discovered that Mr. Gillispie was in procession of the stolen items. He was charged with the above, taken to HPD where he was processed and later transported to the PSB.

 

 

 

 

Found Property

Several items were located at McFerren Park during the Sweetcorn Festival.  All items will be

at the police department and can be identified and claimed by the owner.

Brown wallet

Debit card under the name of Cheyanne Williams

Set of keys

Remote control possibly for a car stereo

Pair of sunglasses

 

 

 Traffic Accident           H18-4877

Time:          4:40pm

Location:    McFerren Park

Unit #1:       2001 Toyota Camry driven by Dianne Obernuefemann

Unit #2:       2005 Sion XB driven by Helen Carswell

Details:       Unit #1 pulled forward from the parking area and struck the right corner of unit #2

                   No citations issued. No injuries reported. Both units insured.
