Hoopeston Police Department Report 12/17/18

Traffic Accident                      H18-6822

Time:                    10:41am

Location:              Main and 3rd Street

Unit #1:                2017 Club Cadet driven by Blake Lawson (20) of Hoopeston

Unit #2:                2006 Ford Explorer driven by Justin Redman (23) of Hoopeston

Details:                 Both units were stopped southbound on 3rd Street and Main.

                             Unit 1 proceeded to go into reverse and struck Unit 2.

 

 

 

Hit & Run Accident                H18-6823

Time:                    10:30am

Location:              800 block E Seminary

Unit #1:                unknown left scene

Unit #2:                2001 Ford Pick up owned by Russell Hibma of Hoopeston

Details:                 Owner of Unit 2 reported unknown vehicle driven by and

unknown person struck his vehicle while parked and unoccupied, sometime during night and left the scene

Time:                    12:01pm

Location:              400 blk N Dixie Hwy

Unit #1:                1998 Chevy truck driven by Paul Dea (65) of Cissna Park

Unit #2:                2019 Chevy Equinox owned by Russell Zurlinden (78) of Danville

Details:                 Unit 1 struck Unit 2 while it was parked and unoccupied, causing

                             damage to rear bumper and tailgate.

 

 

Stolen Bikes                                      H18-6830   H18-6831

Time:                    2:30pm

Location:              400 blk E Young

Details:                 Gray Mongoose with green parts and an all-black colored Haro bike were

                             reported stolen sometime within the last week

 

 

Possession of Cannabis           H18-6838

Time:                    8:30pm

Location:              600 block of W. Penn

Arrested:              (13) year old male juvenile

Details:                 Officers were called to the above in reference to a disturbance in the area.

After making contact with the juvenile he was found to be in possession of cannabis. The juvenile was taken to HPD where he was processed, and later released to a parent with a notice to appear in city court.
