The Watseka Police were called to the 100 block of E Oak in regards to a stabbing that occurred at approximately 4:14 P.M. on 11-21-19. Upon arrival Police found a man wounded from a stab wound to the neck. Riverside ambulance was called to the scene and transported the victim to IMH. Upon arrival at IMH Police located the suspect at the hospital being treated for a stab wound. The victim has been identified as Isaiah D Nelson, last known address Watseka, later died at IMH. Police later arrested Andre Maiden, 23 Kankakee and he was charged with aggravated battery. Police expect the charges to be changed pending review of evidence by the State's Attorney's Office. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
