Hoopeston Police Department Report 11/26/19

Fire Call

Time:                    4:29am

Location:              200 blk W Elm

Details:                 HFD and Arrow Ambulance were dispatched after HPD officers found a residence to be filled with smoke.

Location:               VCHA Parkview Court

Details:                 HFD responded to report of carbon and smoke detectors sounding.  Turned out to be faulty detectors in an apartment.

 

Theft, Assault (City ordinance)                  H19-6365

Time:                    1:40PM

Location:               200 blk of E Main St

Arrested:               Jeffrey A Coss (54)of Hoopeston

Details:                 HPD was called to the above address for a complaint of electrical power

theft. While on scene Mr. Coss made a verbal threat to owner of the property. Mr. Coss was arrested and transported to HPD for processing, later released with a notice to appear in city court.

 

Burglary to Residence                                H19-6370

Time:                    4:59PM

Location:              200 blk of W Orange St

Complainant:        40 year old Hoopeston Man

Details:                 At the above time complainant reported to HPD that someone entered without permission and removed items.

Location:              300 blk of E Attica Street Rossville

Details:                 HFD was dispatched for mutual aid for Rossville FD for a Grain Elevator on fire.

Details:                 At unknown time and date, an unknown vehicle struck a utility pole

                             belonging to Ameren.

Time:                    6:32pm

Location:              S Market/E Main

Unit #1:                2015 Ford 4D driven by Alisyn Watson (F) (16) of Hoopeston

Unit #2:                2011 Ford 4D driven by Mykala Ruel (18) (M) of Kankakee

Details:                 Unit #1 was traveling north bound on S Market St when she turned wide

                             to miss a hole striking Unit #2 in the rear.  No injuries were reported, no

                             tickets were issued and both units were insured.

 

 

Traffic Accident                               H19-6373

Time:                    7:02pm

Location:              800 blk S Market St

Unit #1:                2000 Mercury driven by William Musk (M) (97) from Hoopeston

Details:                 Unit #1 was traveling south bound in the alley to the west of the 800 block

                             of S Market St when the driver lost control of the vehicle striking a pile

                             of logs and grain trailer.  Minor injuries were reported, unit #1 was insured

                             and no citations were issued.
