Hit and Run Accident (Solved) H20-0706

Unit #1: Unknown

Unit #2: 2017 Buick owned by Theresa Hennessy of Loda IL

Details: Unit #1 was backing from a parking space. Unit #2 was parked and unoccupied.

Unit #1 struck unit #2 and fled the scene. An investigation continues.

Time of Arrested: 1:00 pm

Location: 301 W Main Street Hoopeston Police Department

Unit 2: 2010 Black Ford owned by Felipe Martinez of Hoopeston,

Arrested Driver: Martinez, Macalie M (F) (25) of Hoopeston

Investigations followed up on the accident report and was able to identify the suspect unit and driver. Female was cited for Leaving Scene of Property Damage Accident, Driving while License Revoked.

 

Possession of Methamphetamines, Driving While License Suspended, Fleeing or Attempt

to Elude Peace Officer, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest

H20-0729 2020-1367

Time: 4:49pm

Location: 200 E Honeywell Av

Arrested: Michael Abbott (51) (M) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD officers stopped the vehicle that Mr. Abbott was driving on a traffic violation.

After a small vehicle pursuit, subject finally stopped. A computer check revealed that he had a suspended driver’s license. He was arrested and taken to HPD to be processed. He was later transported to the PSB in Danville to await arraignment.
