Hoopeston Police Department Report 2/25/20

Two Hoopeston men were arrested after police were called at 11:35 a.m. Friday to the 500 block of South Sixth Ave.  Joshua Fiala, 31, and James Fiala, 68, were each charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault after an investigation showed each battered the other, police said.  Both were taken to the Public Safety Building in Danville to await arraignment. 

 

 Eric A. Smith, 32, of Hoopeston, was arrested after a 74-year-old Hoopeston man reported at 3:29 a.m. Saturday that someone banging on his grill and screaming outside his home in the 400 block of West Lincoln.  Smith was charged with breach of peace constituting disorderly conduct and was released on a notice to appear in Hoopeston

 City Court. 

 

 Jordan Langston, 24, of Watseka, was arrested after police were called at 9:21 p.m.  Saturday for a fight in progress at Fast Lanes Bowling Alley, 719 W. Elm. He was charged with battery and released on a notice to appear in Hoopeston City Court.
