Vermilion County Press Release

The State of Illinois and Federal  have declared a public health emergency as a result of the pandemic coronavirus. The circumstances change daily. There are calls by health officials to slow down personal contacts and maintain social distancing. However, with the Governor's proclamation to "shelter at home," I am officially closing the following buildings by means of public access  notice:

Vermilion County  Building-201 N. Vermilion Street-Danville

Vermilion County Animal Control and SheltE-14775 Catlin / Tilton Road-Tilton

Vermilion County Highway Department- 2732 Batestown Road-Oakwood

Vermilion County Coroner/Veterans Assistance Commission-123 N. Hazel-Danville

Essential services will sdll be supported by appointment only. Essential services will be determined bv the elected omce holder or department head.
