The Vermilion County Coroner's Office is requesting assistance from the public in identifying a male white whose partial remains were found in rural Vermilion County

On April 11, 2020 the Vermilion County Coroner’s Office was requested to respond to a rural outdoor area on private property in Indianola, Illinois by the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Recovery was made and an autopsy on the remains was conducted. DNA was recovered and checked with negative results. The Vermilion County Coroner’s Office has entered the case into the national database for missing, unidentified and unclaimed remains.

The Vermilion County Coroner’s Office, the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Office along with the assistance of the Illinois State Police continue to investigate.

 

The Vermilion County Coroner’s Office and the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Office are asking for any information concerning the identity of the decedent and this investigation.
