WHAT:                      Hit and Run Pedestrian Fatal Traffic Crash

 

WHERE:                    US Route 150 at Vermilion County Road 1300E (Henning Road)

 

WHEN:                      Saturday, July 4, 2020, 2:03 a.m.

 

VEHICLE:                Unit 1:  Silver sedan  

                                               

DRIVER:                   Unit 1:  Unknown at this time

 

PEDESTRIAN:         Unit 2:  Tyler L. Rodriguez, 26-year-old male of Danville, IL (Deceased)

 

PRELIMINARY:      Preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred:  A pedestrian was walking on US Route 150 westbound, approximately .3 miles west of Henning Road in Danville.  An unknown passenger car struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.  The pedestrian died due to injuries sustained as a result of the crash.  No further information will be released at this time.
