Unit 1: 1978 Chevy Pickup Truck Driven by: Ethan J Larkin (M) (17) of Hoopeston
Unit 2: 2003 Toyota Sedan Driven by: Neil J Williams (M) (19) of Hoopeston
Details: Unit 1 was southbound on S 4th Avenue preparing to turn left into the alleyway Unit 1 driver felt he had plenty of time to make the turn. Unit 2 stated that he was north bound on S 4th Avenue when Unit 1 turned in front of him, which he could not avoid hitting Unit 1.
Unit 1 at fault for failing to yield to oncoming traffic prior to making his turn. Both Units insured and no tickets issued.

Unit #1: 2011 Ford Edge driven by Amber Pocica (F) (31) of Hoopeston
Unit #2: 2003 GMC Envoy driven by Tara Fares (F) (48) of Danville
Details: Unit #1 was westbound on Orange St, while Unit #2 was eastbound. Driver of
Unit #1 turned southbound on Market St in front of Unit #2 causing Unit #2 to
strike Unit #1. Driver of Unit #1 was issued a traffic citation for No Insurance.
Arrow Ambulance responded to transport one patient from scene.

Location: 500 blk of W Main St
Details: HFD and HPD were dispatched to the above location for a shed on fire. No injuries
were reported and an investigation continues.
Theft (Under), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia H20-3685

Date/Time of Arrest: 8/17/20 6:30pm
Location: 400 blk E Main St
Complainant: 46 year old Hoopeston female
Arrested: Blake Meehan (19) (M) of Hoopeston
Details: HPD officers took a report of bike theft from complainant. After an investigation
HPD officers found that Mr. Meehan has stolen the bike. When officers checked
out with the subject, he had drug paraphernalia on his person. He was arrested
and taken to HPD to be processed. He was later released on a notice to appear in
in Vermilion County court.
Battery (city) H20-3741
Time: 7:13pm
Location: 300 blk W Chestnut St
Arrested: Andrew Cordova (M) (25) of Hoopeston
Elbert Cannon (M) (54) of Hoopeston
Details: HPD officers were called out to the above location on a report of an altercation.
Upon arrival, both Mr. Cordova and Mr. Cannon were arrested on battery charges.
They were taken to HPD to be processed. They were later released on city
citations and give a city court date
