Vermilion County Covid 19 update

3 new cases and 6 releases today brings our total of active cases to 16.  All of the active cases are at home in isolation and we have no one hospitalized at this moment.  1 case in their 20s and 2 cases in their 30s.  2 of the cases are married.

We are also very saddened to report that we had one of our current cases, an 80 year old male die from COVID19.  This brings us to our 3rd COVID19 death.  We previously had deaths on April 28th and June 16th.    Many thoughts and prayers to his family during this difficult time.

On Friday, the country metrics were released and once again, we had no areas of warning.  The link to the page to see a rundown is below.

Over the weekend, we did have a few positive COVID19 cases that affected one of our school districts, Salt Fork.   With the plans in place at Salt Fork, students that were exposed were able to be quickly identified and quarantined.  I have to commend the leadership of the district and Superintendent Phil Cox.
