Update on Cases

 

16 new cases and 7 releases today brings our total of active cases to 25.  Twenty-four of the active cases are at home in isolation and we one of our new cases is hospitalized at this moment.  1 case in their teens, 2 cases in their 20s, 2 cases in their 30s, 1 case in their 40s, 4 cases in their 50s, 4 cases in their 60s and 2 cases in their 70s.   We have two cases that are married, two cases are family-related, and one case that traveled to Missouri.

Vermilion County

We have received 18,305 total tests (18,008 negatives and 297 positives). 

For Vermilion County our overall positivity rate is at 1.62%. 

Death Rate is 1.01%

Positivity Rate from 8/9 – 8/15:  We increased to 2.7% from 1.8% the prior week.  

New cases from 8/9 – 8/15:   We increased to 43 per 100,000 from 29 per 100,000 the prior week

Regionally (Region 6)

Positivity Rate:  on the test positivity 7 day rolling average, we maintain at 1.6% and have only 2 days of increases. We increased to 1 day of hospital admission increases.
