Update on Cases

 

5 new cases and 4 releases today. This brings our total of active cases to 27.  Twenty-six of the active cases are at home in isolation and we have one case still hospitalized at this moment.  None of the new cases are hospitalized.   1 case in their 20s, 1 case in their 30s, 1 case in their 60s, and 2 cases in their 70s.  2 of the cases share a household and recently traveled and 1 case is connected to a prior case.

Vermilion County

We have received 18,804 total tests (18,501 negatives and 303 positives). 

For Vermilion County our overall positivity rate is at 1.61%. 

Death Rate is .99%

Positivity Rate from 8/9 – 8/15:  We increased to 2.7% from 1.8% the prior week.  

New cases from 8/9 – 8/15:   We increased to 43 per 100,000 from 29 per 100,000 the prior week

Regionally (Region 6)

Positivity Rate:  on the test positivity 7 day rolling average, we increased slightly to 1.7%, but still  have only 2 days of increases. We are maintaining at 1 day of hospital admission increases.
