Vermilion County Covid 19 update

Update on Cases

Over the weekend, we had 6 new cases.  2 were from the gathering from last week, 2 were connected by family, and 1 was connected by a previous case.  We also increased to 2 hospitalizations.

Today’s update:  We have 6 new cases and 13 released.  None of the new cases are hospitalized.  Our total of active cases is 38, with 2 being hospitalized and the rest are at home in isolation.  Two of the new cases were related to a case over the weekend.

  • Testing Site Locations – UPDATED (Carle’s testing site information has been updated to include Carle’s exposure criteria which is less than 6ft, more than 15 minutes, and NO mask).  This mask criteria differs from IDPH and VCHD’s definition of direct exposure for the public and we still define close contact exposure as less than 6ft, more than 15 minutes, whether you are masked or unmasked and we recommend testing.
