Hoopeston Police Department Report 11/21/2020

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY H20-5314

Time: 11:05

Location: 600 Block E McNeil

Complainant: (61) year old Hoopeston Male

Details: HPD was called to the above location for a burglary. HPD will continue the investigation.

 

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT NO INJURIES H20-5312

Time: 07:31

Location: S 5th & E Orange Street

Unit 1: 2011 Chevy Malibu owner/driver William A Compton (M)(37) of Hoopeston

Unit 2: 2015 Chevy Cruz owner/driver Hana M Smith (F) (23) of Paris

Details: Unit #1 was heading East on E Orange St.& Unit #2 was slowing for a stopped car when Unit#1 ran into the back of Unit #2

Unit #2 received damage to the rear, driver side trunk/bumper area.

Unit #2 was able to drive the vehicle away on own power

Unit #1 received extensive damage to the front area of the vehicle that was mostly located on the passenger side grille/bumper area.

Unit #1was towed at the owners discretion.

No Injuries, No citations. Unit#1 at fault. Both vehicles insured.

FIRE CALL H20-0128

Time: 11:43

Location: State Route 9/N 2300 East Road

Details: HFD was dispatched to the area for one of 2 tanks leaking a white gassy substance. Tanks being pulled by a tractor. HFD was unable to locate the vehicles.

Location: 426 E Honeywell Avenue, Centennial Manor Apartments

Details: HFD responded for an elevator rescue. Two subjs was trapped and rescued with no reported injuries.

 

 

 

Restraint of Dogs by Owners H20-5316

Time: 4:17pm

Location: 100 block of N. 6th Ave

Citation Issued to: Linda Drollinger (55) female of Hoopeston

Details: Citations were issued to the dog owner for the dogs being off property and running at large.

 

 

 

Accident (PD) H20-5318

Time 6:38pm

Location: 100 block of E. Lincoln St

Unit #1: 2019 Freightliner Truck Tractor driven by Alvin Carpenter (64) of GA

Unit #2: Concrete Barrier

Details: Unit #1 came to a dead end on Lincoln and when the driver attempted to turn right he struck a concrete barrier. Unit #1 was insured. No injuries reported. Driver was cited for Disobeying Traffic Control Device.
