Vermilion County Covid 19 update 2/6/21

We are reporting 148 new cases today (two residents in their 90s, three in their 80s, eight in their 70s, ten in their 60s, twenty-five in their 50s, nineteen in their 40s, eighteen in their 30s, twenty-four in their 20s, twenty teens, fifteen grade-school-aged children, two pre-schoolers, one toddler, and one infant), and 118 released, which brings us to a total of 7,806 positive cases.

 

We are saddened to report another two COVID-related deaths -- a woman in her 80s, and a man in his 60s.  Our sympathies go out to their families and friends.  This brings us to a total of 96 COVID-related deaths since this pandemic began.

 

There are currently 14 Vermilion County residents with COVID hospitalized.  There are currently 547 active COVID cases in the county.  We have received 92,534 negative test results.

 

 

The Mobile COVID-Testing Team will return to the front parking lot of the health department on Saturday and Sunday.

 

 

As of this morning, the State was reporting that we and our healthcare partners have given 6,048 people their first doses of COVID vaccine, and have given 916 people their first and second doses of COVID vaccine -- for a total of 6,964 COVID vaccinations given in Vermilion County.
