Vermilion County Covid 19 update 3/18/21

We are reporting 14 new cases today (one resident in their 80s, one in their 60s, one in their 50s, one in their 40s, three in their 30s, two in their 20s, three grade-school-aged children, and one toddler), and 9 released, which brings us to a total of 8,718 positive cases.

We are saddened to report another COVID-related death, a man in his 70s.  Our sympathies go out to his family and friends.  We have lost a total of 122 Vermilion County residents to COVID-related deaths since this pandemic began.

There are currently four Vermilion County residents with COVID hospitalized.  There are currently 263 active COVID cases in the county.  We have received 110,032 negative test results.

We vaccinated 160 people at our clinic at DACC today.  We will have a vaccination clinic at the Fischer Theatre tomorrow, and then will have outdoor drive-through clinics at the Airport on Friday and Saturday.

We are urging adults who live or work in Vermilion County and who are interested in getting a COVID vaccination to take advantage of this temporary influx of State resources.  In addition to healthcare providers and pharmacies, adults can receive vaccinations at our clinics by clicking on the registration link at www.vchd.org<http://www.vchd.org>  or by calling 431-2662, ext. 263 or 264.
