VCHD are reporting 22 new cases over the past few days (three residents in their 60s, three in their 50s, one in their 40s, two in their 30s, four in their 20s, two teens, four grade-school-aged children, and three infants), and 18 released, which brings us to a total of 8,852 positive cases.
We have lost a total of 122 Vermilion County residents to COVID-related deaths since this pandemic began.
There are currently four Vermilion County residents with COVID hospitalized. There are currently 245 active COVID cases in the county.
This week VCHD will hold a first-dose Moderna clinic at the health department on Monday (April 5), a Johnson & Johnson clinic at the Fischer on Wednesday (April 7) , a second-dose Moderna clinic at the Fischer on Thursday (April 8), and a Johnson & Johnson clinic on Saturday (April 10.) A couple of days before each clinic, we will open up any remaining appointments to any eligible Illinois residents.
