Vermilion County Covid 19 update 4/23/21

We are reporting 16 new cases today (one resident in their 70s, one in their 50s, two in their 40s, five in their 30s, three in their 20s, two teens, and two grade-school-aged children), and 11 released, which brings us to a total of 9,072 positive cases.

We have lost a total of 131 Vermilion County residents to COVID-related deaths since this pandemic began.

There are currently seven Vermilion County residents with COVID hospitalized.  There are currently 93 active COVID cases in the county.  We have received 130,859 negative test results.

The Illinois National Guard is continuing to assist us with our vaccination clinics.  While our focus this week will be on providing second-dose Moderna vaccinations at the airport to those who received their first-dose Moderna vaccinations last month, we are offering some first-dose vaccination opportunities.  Please check our website, www.vchd.org<http://www.vchd.org>, or call 431-2662, ext. 263 or 264 for details.
