The FDA has approved the Emergency Use Authorization for Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine for those between the ages of 12 and 15

The FDA has approved the Emergency Use Authorization for Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine for those between the ages of 12 and 15.  Until now, the Pfizer vaccine had been authorized for only those ages 16 or older.

The press release can be viewed here: https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/coronavirus-covid-19-update-fda-authorizes-pfizer-biontech-covid-19-vaccine-emergency-use<https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/coronavirus-covid-19-update-fda-authorizes-pfizer-biontech-covid-19-vaccine-emergency-use>.

A State meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday to officially determine how this will work in Illinois.

We have already been working with some potential host-sites for COVID-vaccination clinics that will focus on those between the ages of 12 and 15.  We plan to begin offering registration for those clinics soon.  The sooner we can gauge interest in those clinics, the better we will be able to prepare for them.
