Vermilion County Covid 19 update 6/2/21

Moderna has filed for full US approval of the COVID-19 vaccine for adults and we are anticipating them to also request for EUA for 12-17 year olds early this month.

We will be busy with 3 COVID19 Vaccination clinics this week and the information is below.  At these 3 clinics this week, individuals will be able to get either J and J or Moderna.  It is best to sign up for an appointment.  Please spread the word!  We will be back next week to the schools to complete the 2nd dose of Pfizer for our 12+ clinics.

Please see our website for all clinic information:  www.vchd.og<http://www.vchd.og>

Metrics, Vaccinations, and Cases

I was happy to see our case counts going back down over the last 2 weeks after our surge in cases at the beginning of May!   It is likely the state will be going to Phase 5 with no capacity limits on June 11th.  Those who are not vaccinated will still be asked to wear masks when indoors when social distancing cannot be adhered to or in crowded areas outdoors.    CDC has not updated their COVID19 Vaccination Tracker since Sunday, so hopefully will get the latest statistics to you tomorrow.  It was nice to finally see we broke through 9,000 of our 65+ who are now fully vaccinated!
