Vermilion County Covid 19 update 6/11/21

We are reporting 12 new cases (two residents in their 60s, three in their 40s, three in their 30s, three in their 20s, and one teen), and 13 released, which brings us to a total of 9,994 positive cases.

We are saddened to report another COVID-related death -- a man in his 30s. Our sympathies go out to his family and friends. We have lost a total of 142 Vermilion County residents to COVID-related deaths since this pandemic began.

There are currently 7 Vermilion County residents with COVID hospitalized. There are currently 56 active COVID cases in the county.

Of the 12 cases being reported today, none of them told us they have been fully vaccinated.

We will have two COVID-vaccination clinics coming up this week, providing second-dose Pfizer vaccinations to those who received their first Pfizer vaccinations in May.

The Illinois National Guard personnel will only be assisting us with our clinics through this week. We are urging those who are interested in getting COVID vaccinations to do so sooner, rather than later.
