Vermilion County Covid 19 update 7/7/21


We are reporting 16 new cases (three residents in their 90s, one in their 80s, two in their 70s, four in their 50s, three in their 40s, one in their 20s, and two teens), and 26 released, which brings us to a total of 10,095 positive cases.

We are saddened to report two additional COVID-related deaths - two men in their 90s. Our sympathies go out to their families and friends. We have lost a total of 149 Vermilion County residents to COVID-related deaths since this pandemic began.

There are currently 5 Vermilion County residents with COVID hospitalized (16.7% of active cases.) There are currently 30 active COVID cases in the county.

Of the 16 cases being reported today, one of them told us they have been fully vaccinated.



We holding one COVID-19 vaccination clinic per month at the Health Department at this time. Please see our website, www.vchd.org, for registration information. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will be allowed up until 30 minutes before the end of clinic times.

Upcoming clinics at the Health Department will be:
* July 14th (this will be Johnson and Johnson from 10-11 and Moderna from 11-12)
* August 11th (Moderna from 10-12)
* September 8th (Moderna from 10-12)
