Vermilion County Covid 19 update 8/11/21


We are reporting 146 new cases (six residents in their 90s, twelve in their 80s, eight in their 70s, thirteen in their 60s, sixteen in their 50s, ten in their 40s, fifteen in their 30s, nineteen in their 20s, twenty-two teens, thirteen grade-school-aged children, three pre-schoolers, two toddlers, and seven infants), and 38 released, which brings us to a total of 10,576 positive cases.

We are saddened to report another COVID-related death - a woman in her 80s. Our sympathies go out to her family and friends. We have lost a total of 155 Vermilion County residents to COVID-related deaths since this pandemic began.

There are currently 16 Vermilion County residents with COVID hospitalized. There are currently 283 active COVID cases in the county.

Of the 146 cases being reported today, 18 of them told us they have been fully vaccinated. Three of the 16 currently hospitalized residents have been fully vaccinated.
