Lost Boy Found Safe in Iroquois Township

We live in a wonderful community with a lot of great officers, firefighters and first responders!

This morning Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an area in Iroquois Township for a report of a 4 year old lost in a corn field.  First responding Deputies Fellmy and Holloway did an excellent job in organizing search efforts.  Thankfully, there was a quick and happy resolution, the boy was found safe.

We want to thank the Deputies, the off-duty Deputies that assisted, Newton County Emergency Mgt, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, Goodland Police, Indiana State Police, Drug Task Force, Brook Police, Newton County 9-1-1, Indiana DNR Conservation Police and the amazing volunteers from Brook Fire, Morocco Fire, Goodland Fire and Kentland Fire.  Additionally, Lake County Sheriff and Indiana State Police that had helicopters en route. A special thank you to Rose Acres Farms for their manpower.

Thank you all!
