Vermilion County Covid 19 update 9/30/21

Vermilion County NEW Case Counts (as of 9/29)

Updated Case Numbers:   60 new cases and 37 were released.  Of the 60 new cases, 0 were fully vaccinated.  We had zero breakthrough cases (those who were vaccinated and were hospitalized or died) and zero reinfection.



We continue to see a high number of cases in our youth.



43 (68%) cases under the age of 20

13 cases between the ages of 20 – 49

7 cases over the age of 50 (only 2 were over the age of 70).



We had 1 additional death, a gentlewoman in her 70s.  Our thoughts go out to her family.







Regional Hospital Information (Region 6 covers 21 counties and has 15 hospitals and 1 VA)



Three of our Region’s Hospital’s EDs were at Peak Census as of this morning.  We are finally seeing hospitalizations go down as a whole in our region.  We have had over 10 days of patient decreases or days of stabilization.  Let’s hope this continues.
