For total case counts, hospitalizations, deaths, general vaccination rates, transmission levels, and regional metrics, you can see that on our COVID19 page (should be updated by end of business day):   https://vchd.org/covid-19/

Please encourage families, staff, and the community to be HONEST if they have been exposed or have tested positive for COVID19.  If you send or allow someone back to work or school too soon or knowingly while they are ill or exposed, this will never end.  Please continue to encourage those who have not been vaccinated to get vaccinated.  Indoor Mask mandates are still in place as well.

Vermilion County New Reported Case Counts

11/8 – 11/12:  We had 414 new cases and 338 were released.  Of the 414 new cases, 20 were vaccinated.  We currently have 17 people hospitalized.   Eight cases were breakthrough cases and we had zero reinfections.

124  cases – Under the age of 20 169 cases – Ages 20-49 121 cases – Ages 50 and above

We have had two additional deaths this week.  Two gentlewomen in their 50s and 80s.   Our thoughts go out to their family and friends.      Our total increases to 202.

We have seen a steady increase in our hospitalizations and case rates in Region 6, especially in Vermilion County.  Our ICU bed availability has also steadily decreased and is below the 20% threshold and has been for the last few days.  We have had a few large events in the area and then have seen an increase in cases 3-10 days after.  Please continue to encourage our community to make good choices.  Our region only has 9 ICU beds available again.  This is not the direction we want to go.  We are at 387 active cases and we have not been this high since earlier this year in February.
