Vermilion County Covid 19 update 11/20/21

Cases continue to rise in Vermilion County.  We are at 451.44 new cases per 100,000 over the last 7 days.   Multiple hospitals in our region have been at peak census off and on this week.  Our ICU availability is only at 13%. 

Vermilion County also exceeded 15,000 total COVID19 cases since our first case on March 31st, 2020. 

This week’s total reported case counts

 

Since 11/15, we reported 248 new cases and 303 were released.  Of the 248 new cases, 18 had been fully vaccinated, 1 breakthrough case (fully vaccinated and hospitalized or died), and 2 reinfections.  19 residents are currently hospitalized.  We also had one additional death, a gentleman in his 70s.  Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.  

This brings our total to 203 COVID19 deaths.

Testing

DACC’s COVID19 Testing Site will be closed on November 26th, December 24th, and December 31st.

Vermilion County Health Department’s Testing Site will have testing on Tuesday, November 23rd from 10am-6pm.  (this is still not showing up when you try to make an appointment.  We are still waiting for Shield to update, but you can still walk in.  If you are at least registered, it will be a quicker process).

Vermilion County Health Department’s Testing Site will be closed on November 24th. 

Vermilion County Health Department will begin to have testing on BOTH Tuesday and Wednesdays beginning on November 30th from 10am-6pm.

IEMA/IDPH Pop Up COVID19 Vaccine Clinics

Location:  Catlin Village Hall (109 S. Sandusky St., Catlin) – Pfizer, Moderna, and J and J vaccines available (1st, 2nd and Boosters available) Date:  November 22nd at 9am-4pm These clinics are provided by IDPH and IEMA and not VCHD.

Location:  Westville Public Library (233 S. State Street, Westville) – Pfizer 1st Dose ONLY Date:  November 22nd at 11am-2pm These clinics are provided by IDPH and IEMA and not VCHD
