WHAT:                      Two Vehicle Personal Injury Traffic Crash  

WHERE:                   Illinois Route 119 at 2151 E, Vermilion County

WHEN:                      Nov. 19, 2021 at approximately 11:50 a.m.

VEHICLE:                Unit 1 – 2018 Black Chevrolet Silverado

 

                                    Unit 2 – 2011 Black Hyundai Sonata

 

DRIVER:                   Unit 1 – Patty D. Aldrich, 68-year-old female from Indianola, IL – Transported to an area hospital with injuries.  

 

Unit 2 – Douglas J. Risken, 52-year-old male from Champaign, IL – Transported to an area hospital with injuries.

 

PRELIMINARY:      Preliminary investigative details indicate the following occurred: Unit 2 was traveling east on Illinois Route 119 near 2151 E.  Unit 1 was traveling west on Illinois 119 at the same location.  For an unknown reason Unit 1 entered the eastbound lane and struck Unit 2 head on.  Both drivers were transported to an area hospital with injuries.

 

CHARGES:             Unit 1 Driver was cited Improper Lane Usage and No Seatbelt.  Unit 2 Driver was cited for No Seatbelt
