We are saddened to report two additional COVID-related deaths - a man in his 80s, and a man in his 70s. Our sympathies go out to their families and friends. We have lost a total of 209 Vermilion County residents to COVID-related deaths since this pandemic began. There are currently 347 active COVID cases in the county. There are currently 28 Vermilion County residents hospitalized with COVID. We are aware of fifteen Vermilion County residents who have become reinfected with COVID since June 1. Of the 270 cases being reported today, ten of them told us they have been fully vaccinated. As part of the interview process, our contact tracers ask each person who tested positive whether they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccinations save lives. There are quite a few opportunities to receive your COVID-19 vaccine or booster. Please bring your COVID vaccination cards and an ID. * Saturday, December 4th from 9 a.m. - noon at the Oakwood Public Library (110 East Finley, Oakwood) - Pfizer and Moderna booster clinic. This clinic is provided by IDPH and IEMA, and not by the VCHD. * Carle - call for an appointment or go online for Booster Vaccines * OSF - has vaccines for children 5 and up. Please go to www.osfmychart.org<http://www.osfmychart.org> to make an appointment. * Local Pharmacies - make appointments online, check to see if they have the vaccine you need: 1st Dose / 2nd Dose / 3rd Dose / Booster. There will be COVID-testing clinics at the Health Department on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays - from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. both days. Those interested can create accounts and make appointments through a link on our website, www.vchd.org<http://www.vchd.org>. The team tested 78 people at the clinic today.
