Details: HFD dispatched to a report of strong smell of something burning in the home. HFD arrived on scene to investigate the origins. Source of the Odor was located and the issue was resolved. No report of Injuries,

 

Harassment by Telephone, Agg Assault H22-1752 2022-3759

Time: 7:55pm

Location: 800 Block of East Young Ave.

Arrested: Jeremiah T. Bolton (M) (32) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD responded to the report of a Mr. Bolton beating on the front door of a residents. Mr. Bolton was making threats to the complainant, and was also armed with a bat. Mr. Bolton was transported to HPD where he was processed and later taken to the PSB.

 

DEBIT CARD THEFT H22-1762

Time: 1:36pm

Location: 500 Blk W Penn St

Arrested: Blake M Meehan (21) (M) from Hoopeston

Details: HPD called to the above ref a stolen debit card. Mr. Meehan was on scene being detained by the resident when officers arrived on scene. Mr. Meehan was placed under arrest and transported to HPD. Mr. Meehan was complaining of a head injury that occurred prior to officers’ arrival. He was then transported to the hospital via ambulance. Subject was released from ER and taken to the Vermilion County Jail.

Details: HPD called to above location ref a retail theft. The incident is under investigation.

 

Hit and Run Traffic Accident H22-1766

Time: 5:44pm

Location: Main/Market

Unit #1: UNK

Unit #2: 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Josie Donnelly (F) (19) of Hoopeston

Details: Unit 1 was traveling north on Market St and Unit 2 was travelling east on Main St. Driver of Unit 1 failed to stop at the intersection and ran into Unit 2. The driver of Unit 1 stopped momentarily then left the area. No injuries were reported and Unit 2 has insurance. An investigation continues.
