Hoopeston Police Report 7/11/22

Traffic Accident H22-2917

Time: 6:40pm

Location: 700 blk W Elm

Unit #1: 2020 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Timothy Lane (M) (61) of Hoopeston

Unit #2: 2021 Buick Enclave driven by Karen Geiken (F) (66) of Cissna Park

Details: Unit 2 pulled out of the parking lot and began traveling westbound on W Elm. Unit 1

was traveling eastbound on W Elm when it come into Unit 2’s lane striking it. Both

units were insured, no injuries were reported and no tickets issued.

 

Traffic Accident H22-2919

Time: 9:09pm

Location: 901 S Dixie Hwy, Subway

Unit #1: 2020 Ford Ranger driven by Larry Dunavan (M) (75) of Rossville

Details: Unit 1 turned into the parking lot of Subway and struck the east facing side of the

building. He drove between the front of the building and the concrete barriers in front

of the door. Unit 1 was insured. He was ticketed for DUI and given a traffic court date

 

Driving while license Suspended, Disobeying Traffic Control Device (Stop Sign) H22-2929

Time: 3:21pm

Location: S 4th St. and E Maple St.

Cited: Sherard T Jones (M) (46) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD Officer observed Mr. Jones driving and not stopping at a stop sign. A traffic stop was conducted and Mr. Jones was taken to HPD where he was processed and later released with a Notice to Appear in Vermilion County Traffic Court.

 

Traffic Accident H22-2945

Time: 12:13pm

Location: 100 blk E Main St

Unit #1: 2008 Pontiac G8 driven by Cesar Montoya (M) (24) of Danville

Unit #2: 2019 Ford Fusion driven by Irene Colunga (F) (51) of Hoopeston

Details: Unit #1 was traveling eastbound on Main St, crossed the center line to park on the north

side of the street. Unit #2 was backing out of a parking space and struck Unit #1. No

injuries were reported, no tickets issued and both units were insured.

 

 

Warrant Arrest H22-2949 2022-5942

Time: 6:30pm

Location: 400 block of S 2nd Ave

Arrested: Joseph D Hart (M) (37) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD Officers made contact with Mr. Hart at the above location. Mr. Hart was known to have a Vermilion County Warrant. Mr. Hart was transported to HPD where he was processed and later transported to the PSB in Danville
