Hoopeston Police Report 08/23/2022

Traffic Accident (PD) H22-3675

Time: 12:50pm

Location: 300 block W Penn St

Unit 1: 1999 Dodge PU Trk driven by Terry L Buhrmester (M) (72) of Hoopeston

Unit 2: 2006 Chevy PU Trk (Parked) owned by Armando Paredes of Hoopeston

Details: At the above time HPD was requested to respond to an accident investigation. Unit 1 was travelling WB on W Penn St looking to the left when he drifted to the right and side swiped the parked unit.

Both Units insured, No Tickets, No Injuries reported.

 

Assault (Threaten with a Knife) H22-3676

Time: 2:44 PM

Location: S 6th Av/W Main St Hoopeston

Complainant: 21-year-old Hoopeston Man

Cited: 14-year-old Male Juvenile

Detail: At the above time the Complainant contacted HPD reference to being threaten by the cited juvenile threaten the complainant with a knife. Subject was released to his father and issued NTA for City Court.

 

Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While License

Suspended, Disobeying Stop Sign H22-3684 2022-7301

Time: 9:10pm

Location: Bank/E Penn

Arrested: Shane Baker (31) (M) of Hoopeston

Kacie Carswell (19) (F) of Georgetown

Details: HPD officers stopped the vehicle Ms. Carswell was in for not stopping for a stop sign.

A computer check revealed she had a suspended driver’s license. An investigation

found methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia on Mr. Baker. Both subjects were

arrested and taken to HPD to be processed. Ms. Carswell was given 2 citations and a traffic court date and released. Mr. Carswell was taken the PSB in Danville to await arraignment.
