Details: HPD was requested to respond to the report of a male subject who had a knife and was displaying it in a threatening manner. Subject was released from the scene with a City NTA for court.

Complainant: 69-year-old of Hoopeston Man

Details: At above time the complainant reports that a lawn mower and peddle Tractor was stolen from a garage. They advised that no one had permission to enter the building and remove the items.

 

Noisy Animal Prohibited, Restraint of Dogs by Owner (City Ordinance) H23-5140

Details: HPD received a complaint that the dogs in the backyard were barking nonstop. After checking, the Utility Group working in the alley stated that darkest color Brindal dog had got out and attempted to bite, but was chased off. Owner was contacted to have someone respond and secure the animal. Court Date set for Hoopeston City Court.

 

No Valid License, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol (Passenger) H23-5150

Cited: Beatriz O Alconedo (F) (56) of Hoopeston

Details: On a traffic stop, Mr. Flores was found to be driving with no valid license. He received a citation with a notice to appear in Vermilion County Traffic Court and was released from the scene. On the same stop, Ms. Alconedo received a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol (passenger) and was given a non-mandatory appearance in Vermilion County Traffic Court and was released from the scene.

Unit 1: 2014 Jeep Utility driven by Jeremy W Lile(46)(M)of Hoopeston

Details: Unit 1 while attempting to pull into a parking space struck the concrete at the bottom of the

light pole. Unit 1 was insured. No citations or injuries reported.

Unit 1: 2017 Nissan driven by Rose J Paul(30)(F)of Rantoul

Unit 2: 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by James F Clark Jr.(74)(M)of Ambia IN

Details: After stopping at the stop sign facing westbound on E Honeywell Ave at the intersection of N Market Street, Unit 1 turned southbound onto Market St and struck Unit 2 on the driver side near the rear of the vehicle. No injuries or citations were reported. Both units are insured.

Details: HPD conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by the above subject found to have a suspended license. She received a citation and was released from the scene with a notice to appear in Vermilion County traffic court.
