Hoopeston Police Report 10/13/2023

Operating Uninsured Vehicle, Speed H23-5581 Time: 1:13am Location: S 6th Ave/W Washington Cited: Nathaniel Sims (M) (23) of Desoto, WI Details: HPD officers stopped the vehicle Mr. Sims was driving for a traffic violation. He was released from scene after he was given 2 traffic citations and traffic court date.

 

Operating a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration for no insurance, Operating a Motor Vehicle with No Insurance H23-5597 Time: 5:12 pm Location: S Market St/E Maple St Cited: Kayla D Witherspoon (F) (26) of Hoopeston Details: HPD conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with the above subject identified as the driver. The vehicle was found to have no insurance and suspended registration. Ms. Witherspoon was sent citations by mail and a notice to appear in Vermilion County Traffic Court.

 

Operating a Motor Vehicle w/ Suspended Registration for No Insurance H23-5601 Time: 8:49 pm Location: S Market/E Maple St Cited: Rosalba Miguel Nolasco (F) (48) of Rossville Details: HPD stopped the vehicle Ms. Miguel Nolasco was driving for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed the registration was suspended. Subject was given a citation and traffic court date and was released from scene.

 

Unlawful Acts Constituting Disorderly Conduct H23-5602 Time: 10:02pm Location: E Honeywell/N 7th St Complainant: 18 year old Hoopeston male Cited: Cole Alkire (M) (25) of Hoopeston Details: HPD officers were dispatched to HPD in reference to a report of harassment that occurred at the above location. The suspect, Mr. Alkire, was later found and given a city citation and city court date.

 

Operating Uninsured Vehicle, Operating Vehicle with Expired Registration Plates or Sticker Time: 2:04am H23-5561 Location: S 5th St/W Orange Cited: George Carswell (M) (58) of Hoopeston Details: HPD officers stopped the vehicle Mr. Carswell was driving for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed the plate was expired. Subject was given 2 traffic citations, a traffic court date and was released from scene. Fire Call (Gas Leak) Time: 1 PM Location: 500 block S 4th St Hoopeston Details: HFD responded to a report of a natural gas line rupture. Ameren was called and advised to respond also.
