Traffic Accident H24-3485 Time: 7:47 pm Location: S Market St/E Main St Unit 1: 2006 Dodge Utility driven by Jesus R Avitia (M) (42) of Hoopeston Unit 2: 2018 Ford Utility driven by Cayla M Davis (F) (28) of Hoopeston Details: Unit 2 was traveling eastbound on E Main St through the intersection when Unit 1 struck the side of Unit 2. Mr. Avitia was identified as the driver and received citations for disobeying a traffic control device and operating uninsured vehicle and given notice to appear in Vermilion County traffic court then released from the scene.

 

Assault (City Ord. 9.08.010), Disobeying Police (City Ord. 9.04.070) H24-3492 Time: 10:45 pm Location: 400 blk of E Chestnut St Arrested: Brandon D Arms (M) (38) of Hoopeston Details: HPD responded to a civil disturbance. Mr. Arms was taken into custody for the listed charges and transported to HPD for processing then released with a notice to appear in Hoopeston City court.

 

Fire Call Time: 11:30 pm Location: 300 blk Front St Details: HFD was dispatched to extinguish a small fire. All units cleared without further incident.

 

 

 

Noisy Animals Prohibited (City Ordinance) (6.04.020) H24-3498 Time: 1:00 am Location: 400 blk of W Penn St Cited: Wayman Walker Jr (M) (69) of Hoopeston Details: HPD received a complaint of a dog barking. Mr. Walker was given a signed complaint and a Hoopeston City court date.

 

Warrant Arrest (Vermilion County 24CF366), Resisting and Obstructing a Peace Officer (2 counts) H24-3507 2024-5179 Time: 12:21PM Location: 300 blk of S 3rd St Arrested: Angel K Bane(44)(F) of Hoopeston Details: HPD officers were in the area when they were out with Ms. Bane. A computer search showed Ms. Bane to have an active warrant. Ms. Bane was arrested and transported to PSB to await arraignment.
