Arrested: Christopher Smith (M) (47) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD officers located Mr. Smith, and he was found to be wanted on a Vermilion Co. warrant. Mr. Smith was brought to HPD and processed, and then was transported to the PSB in Danville to await arraignment.

 

Operating a Motor Vehicle when Registration is Suspended for Non-Insurance H24-6424

Location: E. Penn St./ S. 5th St.

Cited: Susan Pickett (F) (53)

Details: HPD officers located Ms. Pickett with a disabled vehicle at the above location. A computer check revealed the vehicle’s plates had been suspended. Ms. Pickett was given a citation for the above charge as well as a Notice to Appear in Vermilion County court and released from the scene, the vehicle was towed.

Unit 1: 1997 Chevrolet driven by Owen Garrett (M) (16) of Hoopeston

Unit 2: 2023 Nissan driven by Dylan Stephenson (M) (19) of Rossville

Details: Unit 2 was backing out of the drive behind Monical’s Pizza to enter the alley behind the business when Unit 1 was heading westbound in the alleyway. Unit 2 did not see Unit 1 approaching and struck Unit 1. Both vehicles were insured, and no citations were issued.

Details: A male complainant arrived at HPD to report a battery. Upon investigation, HPD officers located Mr. Davis-Ervin and issued him a Notice to Appear in Hoopeston city court.

Details: HPD officers conducted a traffic stop at the above location. After a computer check, Mr. Irvin was cited for the above charges, issued Notices to Appear in Vermilion County Court then released. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
