1 teen is dead, 2 others injured in a Danville shooting at Winter Park

A 19-year-old is dead, a juvenile is in serious condition, and another juvenile was also shot but has since been released.

Danville Police say it was around 10 p.m. Saturday when several 911 calls came flooding in, reporting shots fired near Winter Park in the 900 block of Winter Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found three people shot.

A 19-year-old woman was taken to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

 

A juvenile remains in serious condition, while another was treated and released.

Police say gunfire came from at least two different locations.

 

Danville Police say there are currently no suspects. They’re asking anyone with information to contact the department or Crime Stoppers. It's been noted online that over 300 people were in the park at the time of the shooting and only a handful have spoken to police.
