Fire Call Time: Location: Details: 4:37 am 500 blk of N 7th Ave. HFD was dispatched to a structure fire at the above location. HFD extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.

Arrested: Alexander Napier (M) (30) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD officers attempted to stop the vehicle Mr. Napier was driving for a traffic

violation. After taking officers on a brief chase, they located the subject, and he was

arrested. He was transported to HPD, processed and later taken to the PSB in

Danville to await arraignment.

Unit #1: 2001 Chevy Sedan Driven by James Johnson of Shorewood Il.

Unit #2: 2024 EZ-GO Golf Cart Driven by Shane Thompson of Hoopeston

Details: Unit #1, traveling southbound on S. 3rd Street, failed to yield at the intersection on E Washington striking Unit #2 who was traveling westbound. No injuries were reported, and Unit #1 was issued a citation for the above violation and released from the scene.
