Details: After an investigation of an accident, Mr. Arms was cited for the above violations and received NTA’s for Vermilion County Court.

Location: 400 Blk. of W. Penn St.

Arrested: Darwin Ajpop-Miranda (M) (21) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD officers conducted a traffic stop at the above location. Mr. Ajpop-Miranda was cited for driving with the above violations. He was given NTA’s for Vermilion County Court and was released from the scene. The vehicle was towed.

Location: 400 Blk. of W. Lincoln St.

Cited: 17-year-old Hoopeston Juvenile

Details: HPD Officers responded to a call at the above location, made contact with a 17-year-old juvenile and issued him city citations for the above ordinance violations. The juvenile was released from the scene with an NTA for Hoopeston City Court.

 

 

 

 

Possession of a Controlled Substance; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Location: S. 6th Ave./W. Orange St.

Arrested: Lance Hensley (M) (32) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD officers conducted a traffic stop at the above location. Mr. Hensley was arrested on the above charges and was processed at HPD. He was later transported to the PSB in Danville to await arraignment

 

 

Traffic Accident H25-5925 Date/Time: 9/23/25 7:58am Location: 700 blk S 3rd St Unit #1: Unit #2: Details: 2016 Dodge Charger driven by Justin Jones (M) (22) of Hoopeston 2007 Jeep Liberty driven by Sally Strawser (F) (55) of Hoopeston HPD was dispatched to the report of a property damage accident at the above location. Both drivers advised they were already in the road when the other unit started backing. Unit #1 was given a citation for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. No injuries were reported, and Unit #2 had insurance.
