Hoopeston police blotter 10/4/25

Leaving Scene of Crash-Vehicle Damage; Failure to Yield-Stop or Yield Intersection; Graduated Driver: More Than One Passenger Under Age 20 H25-6124

Date/Time: 10-02-2025 @ 5:10 p.m.

Location: S. Market St. / E. Orange St.

Unit 1: 2008 Chevrolet pickup driven by Cory Longfellow (M) (17) of Hoopeston

Unit 2: 2007 Chevrolet pickup driven by Joel Nosler (M) (21) of Hoopeston

Details: Unit 1 was traveling NB on Market St. when it proceeded into the intersection and struck Unit 2, which was traveling WB on Orange St. Unit 2 was towed from the scene, and no injuries were reported. Unit 1 fled the scene but was later located. The driver was issued NTA’s for Vermilion County Court and his vehicle was towed.

 

Fire Call

HFD was called to the area of State Route 9 / N. 990 E. Rd. for the report of a possible brush fire. No fire was located.

 

Threatening a Public Official x2; Aggravated Battery of a Police Officer

Time: 10:41 a.m.

Location: 111 E. Lincoln St.

Arrested: Belinda Solis (F) (42) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD officers were dispatched to the above location. Ms. Solis was arrested on the above charges and was processed at HPD. She was later transported to the PSB in Danville to await arraignment.
