Danville, Ill. – While the local non-profit landscape continues to evolve, CRIS Healthy Aging doors remain open and our staff will continue to support the health and wellbeing of older adults and individuals, ages 18 to 59 with disabilities.
In 2022, CRIS Healthy Aging joined the Carle Health system, aligning their shared mission to support the health of Vermilion County and Champaign County. This structural change ended the non-profit’s affiliation with CRIS Rural Mass Transit, which has functioned as a separate entity ever since.
CRIS Healthy Aging is positioned to continue to serve the essential needs of aging community members, as we have for decades. Our services support technology education, health literacy sessions, caregiver advisory programming, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren support, elder abuse support, nutrition services, as well as social and meal services.
Our goal remains clear: to work to keep older adults safe, healthy, and independent in their own homes for as long as possible, and to support individuals 18 to 59 with disabilities. Visit CRISHealthyAging.org for more information.
