Hoopeston Police Blotter 1/26/26

Location: 400 blk N 4th St

Complainant: 25 year old Hoopeston male

Arrested: Tosha Allen (F) (42) of Hoopeston

Details: After an investigation, HPD officers arrested Ms. Allen for theft. She was taken

to HPD to be processed and later released with Vermilion County court date.

 

Wanted on Warrant (Vermillion Co IN ) H26-0415 2026-0541

Time: 5:11pm

Location: E 4000 North / N 1550 East Rd

Arrested: Kenneth Armstrong (M) (48) of Armstrong

Details: Following a motorist assist call in the above area, HPD Officers made contact with the passenger, Mr. Armstrong, after a computer check revealed he had an active warrant out of Vermillion Co. IN. He was arrested, processed at the Hoopeston Police Dept., then transported to the Danville Public Safety Building to await extradition.

Time: 7:09pm

Location: St. Rt. 9 / N 1700 East Rd

Details: HFD were dispatched to the above area for a single vehicle accident. No injuries were reported and they cleared the scene.

 

Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Operating Uninsured Vehicle H26-0416

Time of Report: 6:11pm

Location : 500 Blk of E Young

Cited: Roger Catron (M) (67) of Hoopeston

Details: An investigation of a hit and run that occurred in the above location led HPD officers to later locate Mr. Catron and issue him citations for the above offenses. He was released and his vehicle was towed.

 

 

 

Domestic Battery; Criminal Damage (over) Time: Location: Arrested: Details: 12:08 p.m. 500 Blk. of W. Washington St. Anthony Chandler (M) (44) of Hoopeston H26-0423 2026-0561 HPD officers responded to a call for service. Mr. Chandler was located, arrested on the above charges, and transported to HPD for processing. He was then transported to the PSB in Danville to await arraignment.

 

 

Fire Call @ 8:10 pm HFD were dispatched to the Ameren substation on S. 7th St. for an odor of gas. All units later cleared the scene.
