Nearly 90 Employers, Food Trucks, and Career Opportunities at Vermilion County Career Expo This Thursday
One of Vermilion County’s largest career events of the year is happening this Thursday, April 23, as the Vermilion County Career Expo returns to Danville Area Community College’s Mary Miller Gymnasium. The event will run from 9:00–10:30 a.m. for students, with doors opening to the general public from 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Featuring nearly 90 local businesses and organizations, the Career Expo brings together employers from across the region in one place—offering attendees the chance to explore careers, learn about open positions, and make valuable connections. From healthcare, manufacturing, and skilled trades to education, technology, and more, the event highlights the wide range of opportunities available right here in Vermilion County. “This is more than just a career fair. It’s a chance to see everything our local workforce has to offer in one place,” said Jodie Ingram, Workforce Education Director. “If you’ve ever wondered what opportunities exist here, this is the event to attend.” The event is presented in partnership with Vermilion Advantage, Danville Area Community College (DACC), and Vermilion County Workforce Education (VCWE), working together to strengthen connections between employers, education, and the local workforce. In addition to employer booths, food trucks will be on-site, creating an energetic, come-and-go atmosphere for attendees throughout the day. Whether you're actively job searching, exploring new opportunities, or simply curious about what’s available locally, the Vermilion County Career Expo is open to everyone and free to attend.
