Failure to Yield to Pedestrian in Crosswalk H26-2108

Location: E Lincoln St/S 3rd St

Unit 1: 2016 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Heather Rogers of Hoopeston

Unit 2: Juvenile pedestrian of Hoopeston

Details: Unit 1 was traveling northbound on S. 3rd St when it came to a stop then started to turn westbound onto E Lincoln St striking the juvenile who was crossing the street using the crosswalk. The juvenile was transported to Hoopeston Regional Health Center for unknown injuries. Unit 1 was insured and issued an NTA for Vermilion County Court and released from the scene.

Details: HPD and HFD responded to the above location for the report of lightning striking residence. Upon arrival there was no fire and no injuries reported. HFD and HPD cleared the scene.
