Traffic Accident; Registration of Low Speed Electric Bike H26-2506

Unit #2: 2019 Ford Mustang driven by Carolyn Fenner of Hoopeston

Details: Unit #1 was traveling southbound in the cart path west of Kirby Foods when he attempted to enter the parking lot. Unit 1 was unable to slow down and crashed into Unit 2. Unit 1 was treated for minor injuries and Unit 2 was not injured. Unit 2 was insured. Unit 1 was not registered with the city and had no insurance. Unit 1 was issued an NTA for Hoopeston Municipal Court and was released from the scene.

Details: HFD responded to the above location for the report of a carbon monoxide detector going off. No carbon monoxide was present. HFD cleared the scene.

Arrested: Dylan McCubbins (M) (26) Of Paxton

Details: HPD Officers conducted a traffic stop at the above location, which resulted in the arrest of Mr. McCubbins under the above drug charge. He received citations for the above traffic violations, processed at HPD, and later transported to the Danville Public Safety Building to await arraignment. His vehicle was towed from the scene.

Arrested: Ismael Tapia (M) (21) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD Officers responded to a welfare check in the above area. Officers made contact with the above subject who returned with an active warrant out of Vermilion Co. Mr. Tapia was placed under arrest and taken to HPD, where he was processed, issued a new Vermilion Co. court date, and released after posting bail.
