Details: HFD was dispatched for a report of a fallen limb on power lines causing an outage. Ameren and HFD cleared the scene with no injuries reported.

Details: HPD officers received a report of an underage assembly. Officers issued NTA’s for Hoopeston Municipal Court then the subjects were then released from the scene or released to guardians

Details: HFD was dispatched for the report of a fire alarm. HFD cleared the scene. No fire or injuries were reported.

Details: HFD was dispatched for a report of a low power line. Ameren arrived on scene and cleared the scene.

Date/Time of Incident: 6/9/2026 @ 4:07 p.m.

Location: 714 W Orange St (Marathon Gas Station)

Date/Time of Arrest: 6/15/2026 @ 3:32 p.m.

Arrested: Patrick Henning (M) (53) of Hoopeston

Details: HPD officers located Mr. Henning after an investigation for the above charge. Mr. Henning was arrested and transported to HPD for processing. He was later given an NTA for Vermilion County Court and released from HPD custody.

 

 

Operating A Vehicle While Driver's License Suspended, Operating Vehicle While Registration Expired, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, In-State Vermilion Co. Warrant No. W26D0637 H26-3001 2026-4144

Time: 7:01 p.m.

Location: W Orange St. / S. 1st Ave.

Arrested: Mechelle Johnson (F) (37) of Danville

Details: HPD Officers conducted a traffic stop at the above location. Ms. Johnson was found to be driving on the above traffic violations in addition to having a confirmed active Vermilion Co. warrant. She was arrested, processed and issued citations at HPD, then later transported to the Danville Public Safety Building to await arraignment.
