Unit 1: 2015 Chrysler Van driven by Brea Boyer of Hoopeston

Unit 2: 2016 Ford Pickup driven by Carson Garrison of Hoopeston

Cited: Brea Boyer (F) (21) of Hoopeston

Details: The driver of Unit 2 was stopped in the roadway attempting to make a left turn when Unit 1 rear-ended Unit 2. Both vehicles were insured and no injuries were reported. The driver of Unit 1 was issued an NTA for Vermilion County Court.

 

Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Reduce Speed , Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failing to Report an Accident H26-2959

Date of Arrest: 6/19/2026

Arrested: Juvenile (F) (17) of Hoopeston

Details: While on patrol in the above area HPD Officers located a downed/damaged stop sign that had been struck. An investigation led to the arrest of the Hoopeston juvenile. The juvenile was processed at the Hoopeston Police Department ,then later released to a guardian with citations for the above traffic violations with a mandatory Vermilion Co. court date.
